This statement ring offers two captivating options: a black ring white pearl combination featuring a natural freshwater white pearl, or a black pearl version showcasing a genuine Tahitian pearl. Each pearl is around 10mm wide, handpicked for its radiant luster and colorful overtones.

Unlike imitation pearls that look flat and uniformly white, real white pearls reflect soft tones—champagne, blush, or even green and lavender—shifting gently in the light. Tahitian black pearls bring a depth of color unmatched by dyed alternatives. Unlike dyed pearls, the glow of natural Tahitian black pearls doesn’t just sit on the surface; it radiates from within, showing peacock green, violet, or blue undertones. Dyed pearls often look painted in comparison, with color that seems separated from the body of the pearl. Both pearls sit on a wide (approx. 10mm) S925 sterling silver band, plated in thick black rhodium for durability and a dramatic contrast. The open band design is adjustable, making it a flexible fit for most fingers.

Because I’m based in Shanghai, I travel regularly to Zhuji Pearl Town—the world’s largest pearl market. I select each pearl myself, focusing on luster and overtone first. I accept small natural imperfections (often hidden at the back or side), and make sure they’re well-placed or discreetly repaired during the setting process.
